Keith and I have recently found a small brick oven pizza spot by his acting studio in Brooklyn. He took me the other day when he was due for his Boardwalk Empire haircut. On the way we found some cool graffiti doors to shoot some blog pics by and then we ate deliciousness at Il Porto, a spot you must go to if your ever around south side Williamsburg. Its a small place, but they have some serious fresh mozzarella that is to die for. After we decided to go thrifting and I scored some beads, sequins, and sparkled goods. I think this is as comfortable as life can get in a dress like this. I love the high low hemline, especially that it drapes to the side rather than front and back. I find myself buying these extremely versatile pieces so I can re-wear them multiple different ways and times. This dress, for example, can be shifted forward for the high low front hemline, worn with a belt, or even have a sweater thrown over it and still look awesome. I happened to find it in the racks of Mixology stores when I was working there, they have great stuff and you could check them out here ( Shop Mixology ). Happy recovery from memorial day weekend!

Another overcast day, its thunderstorm season and I'm loving it. Lucky to be visiting my best friends new house and took advantage of her beautiful driveway with some blog pics. Also, loving my new fringe jacket that I got at the Vanity Suiteheart boutique in Rockville Centre when I stopped by their event for some champagne and shopping. Thank you guys for having me! P.S. Big Star Jeans USA also makes awesome tank tops like this one for example, its cut off and awesome.

Animal Accents

Overcast is probably my favorite type of weather because the lighting tends to be so beautiful, especially for photos. My bestie and I went walking by the lake and the intense reflection of the surrounding trees was so incredible. Obviously took some blog pics while we were there and I borrowed her gorgeous yellow snakeskin bag to shoot. It went well with my leopard accented @ShoeMint @bollare sandals, which by the way are my favorite shoes at the moment. If you follow me on instagram @colbymilano, you would maybe have noticed that I was gifted my very own snakeskin messenger bag in orange! Yay! I <3 Blake Schulman.

LBD

Little Black Dress

I am the biggest fan of loose dresses that allow me to go bra-less. This little black number I found in Soho and knew it was going to exactly what I wanted. I was right. Now I am on the hunt to find all different kinds of similar dresses to live in this summer. By the way - can't believe its already summer, the beach was beautiful over the weekend. I even got a little burnt!

Inside @Bollare Showroom

Yesterday was a fun filled day starting with a visit to the Bollare showroom. Paulina was kind enough to walk me through some of the fall lines from the brands they are representing such as Big Star Jeans USA, Pavonine, and Lucca Couture. I immediately melted over the delicious fall sweaters and sweater dresses because they're my favorite during the season. Its hard to think about fall since summer has just begun, but I can never find myself letting go of a yummy sweater. After, I played dress up and left with a couple of pieces that I cannot wait to post about. I actually was so excited about my new ShoeMint sandals that I pulled a little shoe swap while walking on the high line. They look so lovely against the green grass and next to my Lucca Couture tote I couldn't resist.

Heyo

Resurrecting these little military/utility bomber jackets that have been hiding in my closet. They look super cute over dresses or worn casually like today. I love myself a good layering piece especially little jackets. The jeans are from UO, they're my perfect high waisted cigarette skinny and are very form-fitted. Definitely a must have in your closet, disregarding the fact that you need to jump to get them on (oh, the power of a good jean). On my way to finish up the semester, heyo summer!

Yup, in my white tee

Summer is so close I can already feel it in everything I've been doing. The true definition of effortless has begun, maybe a week too soon but I am completely ignoring that aspect.  I spent all of my down time reading and drinking red wine this weekend which was extremely relaxing. Took a quick shower and threw on this all white outfit and flats (!?). The tee is part of Zara's basic collection and is the most perfect t-shirt fit wise, and drape wise. (kind of want it in ever color possible) Now I must return to the reality of finals this week, then the dog days will be over.

Aisle 11

Spontaneously shooting in the food store yesterday was great. Obviously was found in my favorite aisle, 11, where all of the cereals are carrying tulips for my momma. I've been attempting the high bun with my short hair for some time now, and only a couple of times have accomplished it. It takes a great deal of clips and bobby pins for the pieces to stay in tact but I will not give up. The high bun is too awesome to give up on. - Happy mothers day to all the pretty mommas out there. xo

Shortalls

Definition #manrepelling. Knowing that I had these in my closet kind of made me laugh, until I tried them on and died inside. I mean, maybe they're not the most attractive thing one could own but they definitely make you feel kind of awesome - not gon' lie. These happen to be a hand me down from a friends super stylish mom who still had all her high school clothing. <- unreal.
